You’ll manage the Landcare and Sustainable Living Centre umali barai-ku as a hub for community engagement, oversee facilities and ensure programs run smoothly and safely. Your role will focus on: Leading and motivating staff and volunteers in a collaborative environment Driving volunteer engagement and program management to achieve environmental outcomes Managing facilities and ensuring compliance with WHS standards Overseeing budgets, financial planning, and securing grants for priority projects Applying your environmental science and natural resource management expertise to protect and enhance our city’s natural areas Read the position statement and learn more about this exciting opportunity. LET’S HEAR ABOUT YOU We’re looking for a passionate leader with a strong environmental background and the ability to inspire both staff and volunteers. You’ll bring experience in natural resource management or environmental science, combined with a proven track record of engaging and sustaining volunteer networks. Your ability to foster community partnerships and deliver programs that achieve meaningful environmental outcomes will set you apart. You’ll also need excellent leadership and communication skills to guide your team and collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholders. Strong financial acumen is essential, as you’ll manage budgets, seek grant funding and ensure resources are allocated efficiently. Practical experience in facilities management and implementing WHS systems will help you maintain a safe and productive environment for staff and volunteers.
