About the Role We are seeking a proactive Yard Hand to support our operations team in Lytton, QLD, ahead of a major turnaround in 2026. In this role, you will be responsible for forklift operations, packing and unpacking containers, and providing hands‑on support to our scaffolding crews. You will also assist with equipment preparation, maintenance, and general yard duties to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations. To be successful, you will need to be local to Brisbane, bring proven experience in refinery environments, have strong shutdown exposure, and be able to multitask effectively while maintaining a safety‑first mindset at all times. You will also need to hold a current High Risk Work Licence (Forklift), along with valid Working Safely at Heights, Enter and Work in Confined Spaces, and Gas Testing certificates. Duties Operating forklifts safely and efficiently in the yard Packing and unpacking containers and equipment Providing hands‑on support to scaffolding and operational crews Assisting with equipment preparation and maintenance General yard duties to support smooth day‑to‑day operations Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and site protocols Requirements & Experience Needed Local to Brisbane, QLD (within 50 km) 1 – 2 years of experience operating a Forklift 1 – 2 years of experience working in the Oil & Gas sector or a similar industry Previous shutdown & turnaround experience High Risk Work License – Forklift (essential) Working Safely at Heights Certificate (within 2 years – essential) Enter & Work in a Confined Space Entry Certificate (within 2 years – essential) Gas Test Atmosphere Certificate (within 2 years – essential) Ability to multitask effectively Strong safety‑first mindset Ability to work weekends when required Full Australian work rights How to apply If you are seeking a challenging and rewarding role with a dynamic, growing organisation, please select the ‘Apply Now’ button to submit your application.
