Machine Programmer/Nesting

As a result of our ongoing growth and success, we are currently seeking an experienced Machine Programmer to join our Structural Steel Fabrication team based at Somersby on the NSW Central Coast. Importing Tekla and Solidworks projects into StruMIS from multiple drawing packages Nesting structural steel (Plate and sectional steel) Procurement of raw materials Issuing electronic files to CNC machines Communicating with production team regarding project status Communicating with fabrication team on processing of material and assemblies To be successful in this role you will have: Intimate knowledge of Structural Steel industry and fabrication processes The ability to interpret structural and mechanical fabrication drawings A basic understanding and skills in creating CAD/CAM data Above average skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Microsoft Dynamics AX experience (an advantage) The ability to multitask and work within a busy office environment A positive attitude with excellent attention to detail The ability to meet and work to deadlines This is a full-time permanent position within our Fabrication team. Training will be provided to the successful candidate. Applicants needs to be self-motivated and be willing to put in the work needed to complete jobs in a timely manner. As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric and drug and alcohol testing.
