With locations stretching from the ears to the tail of Australia, from Darwin to Tasmania, we run programs that empower vulnerable people to build confidence, independence, social skills and vocational pathways by working with rescue animals in need. Through our special partnership with rescue organisations such as RSPCA Qld, our participants connect with, train, and socialise rescue animals. There may be occasional travel to other sites Wacol and Toowoomba as required. This is a part time 24 hours a week role. Due to existing programs in place, there is a need for coverage on the following days: Mondays - 8 hours, 8am to 4.30pm Fridays - 6 hours 9:00-3:30pm Days of work for the additional 10 hours can be negotiated. You’ll facilitate engaging and curated programs where participants build confidence, skills, and social connections through hands‑on work with rescue animals. In this role, you will be helping people experiencing social isolation on developing their job readiness skills, building their confidence, and achieving their goals, leading to meaningful outcomes and employment/study pathways. You will facilitate weekly case management sessions with participants and ensure work placement opportunities are aligned with the individual goals as part of our Explore Program. You will work collaboratively with the Explore Program trainer together ensuring the program is run to its full potential and maximising opportunity for participants. You will also be helping rescue animals, which participants help to train and care for during our programs to improve their chances of adoption. Our participants include people living with disabilities, mental health challenges, veterans, first responders, and youth at risk. Your role is to support them in gaining confidence and skills in a safe, positive, and structured environment. Forget lifeless classrooms or thankless routines. About you and what you’ll need to succeed: Previous case management, training, group facilitation, or teaching experience The ability to create an engaging, dynamic, and fun learning environment A warm, professional approach with strong interpersonal skills Experience working with diverse groups and tailoring delivery to meet different needs A team player able to pivot in an ever‑changing environment Demonstrated skills, knowledge and/or training in allied health, community services, animal management or other experience relevant to the role Possess and demonstrate sound experience, knowledge and/or training relevant to animal husbandry/care/training (desirable) A current (or ability to obtain) NDIS Worker Screening and Working with Children Check We’re committed to diversity along all dimensions and believe that the unique perspectives and contributions of all our team members drive our success.
