Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) Join the Department of Health, Tasmania for the Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) role at the Royal Hobart Hospital. Overview The Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania’s largest hospital. The Surgical and Endoscopy Access Unit manages surgical waitlists and the scheduling of elective endoscopy. The ANUM assists the Nurse Manager in staffing, resource planning, and patient care guidance. The ANUM mentors staff and supports endoscopy waitlist planning consistent with guidelines. The ANUM contributes to quality and safety initiatives and encourages staff involvement. Responsibilities Assist the Nurse Manager with day‑to‑day staffing and resource management. Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to endoscopy staff. Support endoscopy waitlist planning and patient flow according to policies. Contribute to unit quality and safety activities and pursue improvement opportunities. Qualifications Relevant clinical experience with the capacity to lead and exercise professional judgement. Understanding of unit business and patient flow principles and discharge planning. Ability to evaluate, innovate, and develop services and review clinical policy and procedures. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse. Salary $109,767 to $115,813 per annum (Pro rata) with 12% superannuation contribution. The salary range aligns with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. Additional allowances may be available.
