And we need the right people on the ground to help us do it. We’re looking for a driven, people‑first Business Development Manager who thrives on connection, purpose and making a real impact. This is a sales role with heart; it’s about inspiring people, building meaningful relationships with industry partners and helping everyday fitness lovers take the leap into a career they’ll love. Applicants must be based in New South Wales with the ability to travel throughout the territory to engage with gym partners and prospective students. What makes this role different? This is not your average sales role. As the local face of AIPT, you’ll work at the intersection of sales, marketing and partner activation. You’ll create a steady stream of high‑potential students for your gym partners. You’ll find passionate fitness enthusiasts, guide them into meaningful careers and work alongside PT Managers to grow their teams. To succeed in this role, you’ll wear four hats: Relationship Manager: Build trust‑driven partnerships with club staff, especially PT Managers. Marketing Activator: Drive high‑quality, club‑based lead generation using AIPT’s referral program and marketing toolkits. Career Consultant: Engage, qualify and convert student leads through personalised career consultations. Network Expander: Identify and onboard new high‑potential club partners in your territory. This isn’t a role where you’ll clock in and out. Proven experience in BDM, territory sales and/or field marketing. Excellent presentation, communication and people skills. KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Experience, Skills and Mindset: Business Development and Sales: Proven experience in a BDM, territory manager or field sales role. Strong ability to meet and exceed lead generation and conversion targets. Confident conducting 1:1 consultations and closing enrolments. Strategic mindset with experience growing a regional portfolio or pipeline. Relationship Building: Natural people‑person with a strong presence and ability to build trust quickly. Experience working with external partners and nurturing long‑term relationships (eg: franchisees, managers, educators). Able to collaborate across internal teams (sales, marketing, education). Marketing and Activation: Hands‑on experience with event planning, activations or local marketing. Ability to co‑create and execute lead generation activities. Comfortable using and interpreting marketing campaigns and materials. Experience leveraging CRM data or campaign performance to adjust strategies. Operational: Highly organised with strong time management and follow‑up skills. Strong CRM and admin discipline (eg: Salesforce, Hubspot or similar). Clear communicator: verbal, written and presentation. Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and think ahead to uncover new opportunities. Mindset and Personal Attributes: Infectiously passionate about fitness and education. Self‑starter who takes full ownership of their territory and results. Growth mindset: always looking to improve, learn and adapt. Team player who celebrates collective wins and supports others.
