Stone Masonry Templator

Visit job sites (residential and commercial) to take precise measurements for stone elements (benchtops, staircases, facades, furniture, fireplaces, etc.). Assess site conditions and coordinate with clients, site supervisors, or architects to clarify design intent or constraints. Use templating tools (laser templators, digital measuring devices, hand tools) to capture accurate dimensions. Create physical or digital templates (cardboard, foam, or CAD-based) that match the design and structural requirements. Communicate with the fabrication team, passing on templates, notes, and technical drawings. Conduct quality checks and verify that finished stone matches the template specifications. Work closely with installation teams to ensure proper fit on site, making any necessary adjustments or re-templating. Maintain documentation of site measurements, templates, and project-specific details. Assist in problem-solving on-site when discrepancies or unforeseen issues arise. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards during site visits and templating activities. Qualifications & Skills Proven experience in stonemasonry or templating (preferably with natural stone, engineered quartz, or porcelain). Proficiency with measuring and templating tools (laser measurers, digital devices, traditional methods). Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and design plans. Excellent attention to detail and mathematical/spatial reasoning. Good communication skills — working with clients, site staff, and the broader team. Reliable, self‑motivated, and organized. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across job sites in Queensland. Knowledge of different stone materials (natural stone, engineered stone, porcelain) is a strong plus. Axxon in Stone QLD+1 Construction White Card (or equivalent) and relevant safety training preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
