20/11/2025 Nursery Hand – Stock Prep Peninsula Growers About The Role We are a wholesale propagation nursery seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team in a hands‑on picking and dispatch role. Peninsula Growers is a well‑established, family‑run propagation nursery based on the Mornington Peninsula. Our nursery is primarily cutting‑grown, and we also have a small tissue culture lab on site, along with seed collection for many of our seed‑grown lines. Through the hard work and determination of the Barfoot family and their staff, Peninsula Growers has developed an industry‑wide reputation for producing high‑quality stock. This role is ideal for someone with production nursery experience who is eager to broaden their skills and industry knowledge. You enjoy working outdoors, have a strong work ethic, and bring a positive, enthusiastic approach. What You’ll Be Doing Carefully picking and preparing plants for orders Grading and preparing plants for dispatch Lifting and transporting plant trays using trolleys Working collaboratively with the dispatch and nursery teams Maintaining high attention to detail to ensure order accuracy General nursery and labouring duties What We’re Looking For Experience in a nursery or horticulture environment is helpful but not essential Strong communication and time‑management skills A keen interest in productivity and efficiency improvement Demonstrated leadership capabilities Enjoys and contributes positively to a team environment Willingness to learn and follow instructions Strong attention to detail Current driver’s licence required Must have Australian work rights This role is intended for someone seeking long‑term employment. After a 3‑month probation period, the casual role may become a permanent full‑time position with career progression opportunities.
