Infrastructure Engineer

Green Light is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our delivery team for an exciting short‑term assignment of 5‑6 weeks with the possibility of extension. The role is remote/WFH and we are starting immediately. Responsibilities You will be working within a highly available Microsoft environment to mitigate latency issues for the organisation. Support, maintenance and monitoring of a predominately Wintel and Azure environment. Provide level 1 & 2 desktop support for a large team of developers – Windows & Apple laptops. Create change plans, evaluate and integrate new hardware configurations and provide support for client technologies on mainframe platforms and peripherals. Responsible for backup and endpoint security as well as Cisco & DELL switches and Meraki devices. Respond to work requests regarding installation, configuration and/or maintenance of client software and the deployment of new technology releases, troubleshooting and software repair. Engage with vendor for hardware & software problem resolution, new hardware installation, routine preventative maintenance, etc. Daily system monitoring, including system log analysis, proactive problem detection and remediation. Requirements Minimum five (5) years in a similar capacity as an Infrastructure Engineer. Strong Windows Server system administration skills and Office 365 admin experience. Proven Cisco network experience – routing & signalling, firewalls, Meraki devices. Moderate troubleshooting skills with a solid understanding of local/wide area networking and server hardware/software. Knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, VLAN, DNS, etc. Ability to modify jobs, models, processes, network definitions and documentation. Customer‑service orientation to ensure all requests and problems are resolved.
