Join our collaborative Finance team at Queensland Treasury Lead a team of professionals and play a key role in budget preparation, performance monitoring, and financial management for the department. Shape decision-making through expert advice and reports while driving continuous improvement in budgetary processes. Responsibilities Lead financial reporting initiatives. Prepare, report, and drive improved budgetary decisions. Collaborate with stakeholders and deliver financial advice. Provide leadership to the team in providing professional financial advice to internal and external stakeholders on budgetary and financial management matters. Prepare funding submissions, department Budget Papers, and detailed budgetary briefs for estimate hearings. Oversee the preparation of management reports and other customised financial reports. Drive ongoing improvements in budgetary quality and strategic decision-making processes. Build and maintain strong and collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders. Work within a productive, motivated team that strives to deliver high-quality financial services. Experience and Qualifications Outstanding analytical skills and sound judgment with demonstrated high-level integrity. Strong adaptability to changing environments and a results-driven mindset. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Extensive experience in management accounting. Comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards, legislation, and policies. Proven ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively and perform under pressure. Demonstrated expertise in leading and inspiring teams to achieve organisational success.
