Café Central (Hinkler) is one of Bundaberg’s favourite local cafés, known for great coffee, fresh food, and friendly service. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Café Manager to lead our team and oversee day-to-day operations with professionalism, pride, and care. The Role As Café Manager, you will take ownership of all aspects of the café’s performance from service and presentation to team leadership and operational efficiency. You will lead by example, fostering a positive and organised environment where staff feel supported and customers receive consistently high standards of service. Key Responsibilities Lead, motivate and support the team to deliver outstanding service and consistent quality. Manage daily operations including rostering, stock control, ordering, and workflow. Drive and monitor KPIs related to sales, wastage, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Recruit, onboard, train and develop new and existing team members. Oversee cash handling, end-of-day procedures, and daily reporting. Ensure the café is clean, visually appealing, and professionally presented at all times. Contribute creative ideas for new products, displays, and process improvements. About You Minimum 2 years’ experience in a café or hospitality leadership role. Proven barista expertise and strong understanding of café workflow management. Confident in leading, coaching, and developing a diverse team. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in solving problems. Committed to professionalism, reliability, and exceptional customer service. Capable in rostering, inventory control, ordering, and basic financial administration. Competitive wage: Competitive wage: $65,000 – $85,000 + up to 10% performance-based bonus.
