About the Role Our Retail practice is at the forefront of transforming how major retailers across the globe harness the power of analytics and AI. We're seeking an exceptional Commercial Strategy Director to lead our retail go‑to‑market and commercial growth function – a pivotal role that sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, business development, and product innovation. In this role, you will drive the commercial success of our Retail Product Portfolio, translating complex analytics capabilities into compelling value propositions that resonate with the world's leading retailers. You will develop and execute comprehensive go‑to‑market strategies, build a robust pipeline of multi‑million dollar opportunities, and work closely with product teams to shape our retail analytics offerings for the market. This is a unique opportunity to make your mark on a rapidly growing business unit, working with cutting‑edge retail analytics solutions that are reshaping how retailers understand their customers, optimise operations, and drive growth. How you will make an impact Build and expand strategic retail partnerships: Identify, qualify, and secure new partnership opportunities with major retailers, developing and executing partnership strategies that create mutual value and position Quantium as the partner of choice for retail analytics. Own the partnership lifecycle: Lead end‑to‑end partnership management from initial engagement through to contract negotiation, onboarding, expansion, and renewal, ensuring strong commercial frameworks that deliver value for both clients and Quantium. Drive partnership growth: Develop and execute account growth strategies for existing partnerships, identifying upsell and cross‑sell opportunities across Quantium's retail product portfolio, and working collaboratively with product and delivery teams to expand our footprint. Navigate complex stakeholder environments: Build and maintain relationships with C‑suite executives and senior decision‑makers at major retail organisations, understanding their strategic priorities and demonstrating how Quantium's capabilities can solve their most pressing challenges. Bridge commercial and technical excellence: Translate complex analytics capabilities into compelling commercial narratives that resonate with retail leaders, articulating clear ROI and business value while managing commercial negotiations and contract frameworks. The superpowers you'll be bringing to the team Partnership excellence: Significant experience in partnership management, business development, or account management roles, preferably within retail, data analytics, or related industries, with a proven track record of building and growing strategic partnerships that deliver substantial revenue and driving initiatives forward autonomously. Retail industry expertise: Deep understanding of retail operations, merchandising, or marketing functions, with the commercial instincts to identify partnership opportunities and understand how analytics can drive value for retailers. Commercial acumen: Demonstrated success in navigating complex commercial negotiations, structuring partnership agreements, and managing multi‑million dollar opportunities from initial engagement through to signed contracts, consistently delivering measurable business outcomes in fast‑paced environments. Relationship builder: Natural ability to build and nurture strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels, thriving in collaborative environments and fostering trust‑based partnerships that drive long‑term value. Exceptional communication: Outstanding presentation and stakeholder engagement skills that can translate complex technical concepts into compelling client value propositions that engage senior stakeholders, with the strategic thinking to see the big picture whilst managing the details.
