Heavy Road Transport Mechanic

AWE is seeking an experienced Heavy Road Transport Mechanic to join our field maintenance crew servicing MPU and Stemming Trucks. This is a diverse role that will require maintenance on both heavy vehicles and hydraulic pumps. About the Role You will be responsible for: Servicing, maintaining, and repairing MPU & Stemming trucks and associated blasting support equipment Diagnosing hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults Preventative maintenance and breakdown response Ensuring all work is completed to site standards and regulatory requirements What’s on Offer Up to $80 per hour. Paid Travel to and from site. Superannuation is paid on all hours worked. Access to a company vehicle. Work for a 100% privately owned Australian Company. To be considered, you must have the following Australian Recognised Trade Certificate. A Current Security Sensitive Ammonium Nitrate Licence (or willing to obtain) Demonstrated experience with stemming trucks & Mobile Processing Units. A high-level understanding of Blast equipment and procedures. Valid C-class driver's licence. Police check dated within the last 6 months (or willing to obtain) Pass a Pre-employment Medical and Drug and Alcohol Screen. *Only applicants who have been shortlisted will be contacted.
