About the role This position forms a key component of the Progress Rail Service team and the position will be primarily responsible for the maintenance, warranty and ongoing technical support of locomotives. Job Tasks and Responsibilities Assist tradesperson with machine overhauls, rewinds and repairs Clean, buff and paint components and parts Operate machinery, as require, in order to perform tasks, where qualified and licensed. Perform manual tasks as required, including safe working duties. Undertake, as instructed by your Team Leader, other tasks which may be incidental & peripheral to your trades assistant role Workshop housekeeping tasks, ensuring a clean and safe work environment Commitment to a Zero Harm workplace that promotes an excellent team work attitude Skills and Experience Previous experience in a non-trade position Forklift ticket (Highly desirable) What we offer Permanent Full time employment Family friendly roster with ultimate work life balance All relevant training is provided on site free of charge & tickets paid for.
