This includes the provision of comprehensive routine and emergency general practice care to patients in remote communities and nursing posts.Permanent 0.8 FTE GP role (Mon to Thu) based in Port Hedland. FIFO job-share may be considered.We’re seeking a GP with:· FRACGP or FACRRM· AHPRA Medical Registration- Specialist GP, unconditional· A minimum 5 year post graduate experience including general practice plus emergency medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology· Interest in clinical education and telehealth· Prior experience in indigenous health, remote community health care, and shared antenatal care desirable· Completion of standard emergency courses such as ALS would be advantageousTotal Remuneration Package includes:· Base salary up to $305,155 (full-time equivalent)· Salary packaging - up to $15,900 per annum for everyday expenses and up to $2,650 per annum on meals and entertainment expenses· Partially subsidised housing, vehicle and utilities (or allowances)· Relocation support· Professional development allowance· 5 weeks annual leave (pro-rata)· 2 weeks study leave after a year (pro-rata)Make a meaningful impact and help shape the future of our primary health expansion in regional WA.To find out more, contact us .About UsThe mission of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) is to provide excellence in aeromedical and primary health care across Western Australia. Every member of the RFDS WO team contributes to that mission and living our values of showing respect, demonstrating fairness, utilising diversity and being safe. Every year, the RFDS WO provides urgent retrieval for about 10,000 patients in regional WA. A further 10,000 appointments are provided in primary healthcare clinics in remote communities, including GP, nurse, dental and mental health care. Our 24/7 Operations Centre at Jandakot Airport coordinates complex logistics for patient retrievals and clinics across the State. We work in partnership with government, business and the community, and are proud to work on Country with Aboriginal medical services and many local service providers.In 2024, the RFDS launched a new five-year strategy ‘Above and Beyond’, which marks an important new chapter in the long Flying Doctor history.
