About The Role As a Hospital Pharmacist at Slade Pharmacy Geelong, you’ll play a vital role in delivering safe, effective, and patient‑focused medication services within Epworth Hospital. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team, providing clinical support and expert advice to optimise patient outcomes. You’ll be involved in a variety of tasks, from dispensing and counselling to medication reconciliation and management planning, ensuring continuity of care across hospital and community settings. With comprehensive training provided, this role is ideal for pharmacists looking to expand their clinical knowledge and gain hands‑on experience in a dynamic hospital environment. Key Responsibilities Be efficient and effective at dispensing and distribution of medication. Provide medication counselling & education to patients. Be trained in the provision of IVF medicines. Conduct Medication Reconciliation and Medicine Management Plans. Work cooperatively and effectively with multidisciplinary teams and provide advice regarding patient care. Consider financial implications of medication use in hospital and for patients obtaining the medicines in the community. Be available to cover shifts on an ad‑hoc basis when required. About You Requirements: Current Pharmacist registration with AHPRA. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Highly driven and enthusiastic. High level of time management, planning and organisation ability. Focused on delivering a high standard of customer service. Australian working rights. Prior hospital experience is not essential, as training and support will be provided.
