Exciting locum opportunity in Launceston Maternity leave cover for a Sonographer with travel & accommodation support. 3-6 months, April start. Apply Locum Sonographer – Maternity Leave Location – Launceston, TAS Salary – locum rates on offer + Accom and travel support (No car for this locum) Maternity leave cover from April for 3 – 6 months from April 2025 Support from a team of sonographers | administration | on site radiologists Support with Accommodation and Travel – no car for this locum Job Summary In this maternity leave cover locum role, you will use Siemens Sequoia and GE Logic machines to perform ultrasound scans, with reporting done via SonoReview. You’ll bring expertise across general ultrasound, nuchal certification, and MSK, while managing your own lists and working alongside one other sonographer. A radiologist will be on-site three days a week. The role requires a minimum of 2 years post‑qualification experience, ASAR registration, and familiarity with Inteleviewer PACS. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. Skills and experience Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience in performing ultrasound scans across general specialties, with MSK and nuchal certification being an advantage. Proficiency in using Siemens Sequoia and GE Logic machines together with familiarity with SonoReview being highly advantageous. Familiarity with Inteleviewer PACS and the ability to manage your own patient lists efficiently. ASAR registration and strong understanding of ultrasound protocols and best practices. Ability to work independently while collaborating with a small team, including a radiologist on‑site three days a week.
