Job Title Teacher – Primary Health Care Employer Queensland Government – TAFE Queensland Location Toowoomba Campus, Toowoomba, Queensland Type & Contract Temporary part‑time (0.8 FTE) from 12 January 2026 to 31 December 2026. The Role As a TAFE Teacher in Primary Health Care you will impart industry knowledge and experience to students across classroom, online, and workplace settings. You will report to the Educational Team Leader. Responsibilities Deliver industry‑based training and assessment to students. Develop and adapt curriculum and learning resources to meet diverse student needs. Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback. Collaborate with industry partners to ensure training remains relevant and up‑to‑date. Qualifications Mandatory Requirements Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, or Diploma of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care. Current industry skills directly relevant to the training. Current knowledge of vocational training and learning. Evidence of professional development in vocational training, learning and assessment. Current AHPRA Registration. Current Queensland Driver’s licence. Additional Credential Requirements TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent). TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent). TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 or TAEASS502 (or equivalent). TAE50111 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (or equivalent). TAE50211 Diploma of Training Design and Development (or equivalent). A higher‑level qualification in adult education approved by TAFE Queensland. Highly Desirable High digital literacy skills across various online learning platforms. Minimum 5 years clinical experience. Experience with clinical teaching. Experience as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care worker or practitioner. Salary $74,344 – $97,667 (gross) per annum, depending on qualification and experience.
