Role We are looking for an Enrolled Nurse to join our Urgent Care Service. As a vital team member, you will provide high‑quality, safe and efficient nursing support for urgent conditions that are not immediately life‑threatening. In collaboration with Registered Nurses, you will focus on ensuring all patients that present to the Urgent Care Service receive appropriate care. Your Responsibilities Create a welcoming, organized and efficient clinical environment—keep the centre compliant, stocked and operating smoothly. Balance administrative duties (40%) such as Medicare billing, accurate coding and meticulous documentation with hands‑on clinical work (60%) that directly impacts patient care. Be the friendly face patients rely on—greet them warmly, assist with appointment scheduling and maintain up‑to‑date registration details for the best patient experience. Work alongside Registered Nurses to deliver exceptional care for injuries and illnesses, gaining valuable hands‑on experience in a collaborative setting. Perform a variety of clinical activities—including detailed patient history assessments, medication administration, wound care, plastering and education to empower recovery. Maintain Professional Standards and Safety—ensure all care is delivered within your scope of practice and aligns with ForHealth’s policies to create a safe environment for patients and staff. Support patient guidance—make sound assessments of inclusion and exclusion criteria. Document with precision—maintain comprehensive, clear and accurate records that support ongoing patient treatment and quality care. Champion workplace health and safety by actively participating in initiatives, reporting incidents/hazards promptly and fostering a secure work environment. About You Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse. Flexible and available evenings and weekends. Meet at least one of the following experience requirements: 3 years of experience as a Primary Care/General Practice nurse; 2 years in an Emergency Department or similar setting; 3 years in Medical/Surgical, Orthopaedic or similar acute care areas. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, handle escalations and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. A passion for patient‑centred care and a personable approach.
