Analyst/ Senior Analyst, Investment & Business Development (based in Melbourne) CapitaLand Australia is a wholly owned subsidiary of CapitaLand Limited and manages approximately $6 billion of assets across Australia. The Role Working closely with the IBD teams and IAM team in Australia and Singapore. The role will have a primary focus on evaluating and executing real estate investment opportunities across all multiple asset classes including lodging/living, commercial, office and industrial. Responsibilities Review and evaluate lodging investment opportunities through market research, financial modelling, site inspection etc; analyse various outcomes and make recommendations pertaining to those opportunities Closely monitor and track the lodging investment market; research market intelligence and trend from various sources and provide update to internal stakeholders Assist in identifying and sourcing property investment opportunities Assist in project managing the transaction process from due diligence through to negotiation and execution assist in coordinating and managing internal stakeholders and external consultants Assist in regular reporting to investment committee, internal and external stakeholders Maintaining good fund governance by complying with internal governance guidelines and external regulatory requirements Contributing to firm’s investment management strategy through research and market intelligence, including keeping current on the competitive and regulatory landscape and best practice Primary functions of the role Identify and assess investment opportunities Assist in the underwriting of prospective investment opportunities involving detailed quantitative (financial) and qualitative analysis Collate market research and intelligence to support underwriting Assist in managing the transaction process; assist in coordinating and managing internal stakeholders and external consultants Assist in preparation of detailed investment papers and presentations for IC and Board review Assist in maintaining strong relationships with key investment sales agents and other business stakeholders Day-to-day liaison between Singapore and Australia teams Requirements Real Estate, Business, or Finance degree from a reputable university. Minimal 3 years’ experience in valuation, investment, asset management, consulting, or development planning / feasibility In-depth knowledge of the hotel / lodging industry and market in Australia; good understanding of hotel valuation and investment analysis is highly preferred Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Organised with strong project management skills; great attention to detail and high degree of initiative and resourcefulness Strong business acumen, excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment A team player who is passionate about business results, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership Previous experiences with hotel/ lodging valuation or investment funds Seniority level Associate Employment type Full-time Job function Business Development Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at CapitaLand by 2x #J-18808-Ljbffr
