As one of Queensland's largest legal practices, we offer a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a supportive and collaborative environment. About You: You must be admitted as a Legal Practitioner in Queensland or hold (or be eligible for immediate acquisition of) a current Practising Certificate and be admitted as a Legal Practitioner or Barrister of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the Australian High Court. Must be the holder (or be eligible for immediate application) of a current Queensland Government Blue Card prior to commencing work. Demonstrate a high level of professional service in all aspects of Criminal, Civil, and Family Law - within both adult and youth jurisdictions, and in the Domestic Violence jurisdiction. Ideally, you will have a minimum of two years of full-time post-admission experience, resilience in handling complex cases and the ability to develop culturally competent service skills. Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will have advocacy opportunity in Criminal Law courtwork, plus some Civil and Family Law matters. You will engage directly with clients daily, honing your advocacy skills within a busy team. You will have the autonomy to manage your own workflows without the pressure of billable hours, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
