Kooringa Farm is an organic dairy farm based in Meerlieu, East Gippsland, Victoria. The farm is a family farm with a supportive and collaborative work‑place. Training and development opportunities are in place. Job Title Dairy Cattle Farm Operator Responsibilities Operate milking plant and equipment. Identify and report equipment not operating normally. Work co‑operatively as part of a team. Read and record instrument information, e.g. milk vat temperatures and cow numbers. Understand and apply safe working principles. Undertake multiple functions to produce a quality outcome, such as handling farm machinery. Maintain machinery, undertake adjustments and size changes. Resolve problems and make decisions within given guidelines. Use general scientific terminology and assist with processes such as machine repair, artificial insemination, fertiliser mix design, etc. Operate computerised systems using menu options. Contribute to the team in a specific role, providing input and assisting other team members. Work at times without supervision. Qualifications & Experience Previous experience working on a dairy farm, preferably one or two years or a Certificate II or III in a dairy‑related qualification. Strong knowledge of cattle management, including nutrition, breeding, and health care. Familiarity with dairy farming practices and principles. Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Organisational and problem‑solving skills. Effective communication and leadership abilities.
