Experienced Tree Cutter /Arborist & Ground Crew Join Dickies Tree Service – Multiple Roles Available No two days are the same at Dickies Tree Service, a family‑owned business providing expert tree care throughout Perth for over 40 years. You will however love working in our great outdoors. We are expanding our team and seeking motivated individuals across two key positions: Grounds Crew Ideal for candidates seeking to start or progress a career in arboriculture. Key Duties Trim and clear vegetation from the ground and at heights (EWP training provided) Assist tree climbers with pruning and dismantling Operate mini front‑end loaders and maintain equipment Feed and process vegetation through woodchippers Conduct general site cleanup to maintain professional standards Support site safety setups and traffic management Load, secure, and transport materials using company trucks Requirements Positive attitude and motivated to learn Able to follow instructions and work as part of a close‑knit team Confident around machinery with willingness to develop technical skills Physically fit and able to pass a medical/drug & alcohol screening (both at induction and randomly) Previous experience in tree services is an advantage but not essential; full training provided Must hold a current White Card and C Class driver’s licence Working visa required for non‑permanent residents Experienced Tree Cutter / Arborist Suited to experienced and certified tree professionals. Key Duties Perform advanced tree pruning, removal, and dismantling Operate chainsaws, rigging systems, and EWP according to high safety standards Coordinate with grounds crew for site efficiency and safety Inspect and maintain climbing gear and machinery Conduct risk assessment and assist with traffic management Mentor less experienced staff and support crew operations Requirements Formal arboriculture qualification (Certificate III in Arboriculture or equivalent experience) Practical experience as a tree cutter or climbing arborist Competency in chainsaw operation and safe work practices Ability to work at heights and perform aerial rescue (EWP or climbing tickets highly regarded) White Card and C Class driver’s licence (MR/HR licence preferred) Must hold or be able to obtain a National Police Check Why Work With Us?
