As a Project Engineer, you’ll work across high-profile projects in our growth corridors to charming small roads in the hills, delivering meaningful infrastructure that directly improves our community’s daily life. You will make an impact by Leading the planning, design, and delivery of civil infrastructure projects including roads, drainage, and bridges. Managing capital works from concept to completion, ensuring quality, budget, and timelines are met. Collaborating with internal teams, residents, and external stakeholders to deliver community-focused outcomes. Solving complex engineering challenges with creativity and sound judgement. Driving innovation and continuous improvement across our infrastructure portfolio. What you will bring Tertiary qualifications in Engineering and eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia (or equivalent). Proven experience in civil project management, ideally within local government or similar environments. Strong understanding of construction standards, regulations, and contract administration. Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage with stakeholders and the community. Ability to work independently and make informed decisions with minimal supervision. A current Victorian driver’s licence. A collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering high-quality public infrastructure. Council supports engineers on their journey to Professional Engineering Registration by funding registration and renewal fees, and providing access to learning and development opportunities.
