The Opportunity Concierge Balwyn Retirement Living is a welcoming community superbly positioned in one of Melbourne's most liveable and leafy suburbs - Balwyn. As our Weekend Chef, you'll prepare, cook and present meals for our daily dining room residents. As a hands‑on Chef, you'll have experience in volume catering with high standards of meal presentation. If you enjoy working autonomously, this is a great opportunity. Be part of a friendly and supportive team in a caring retirement living community. You will: Ensure quality meal services to residents and any visitors to the restaurant. Prepare, cook, present and deliver meals according to recipes with high attention to detail. Monitor food safety plans and ensure the kitchen is adhering to all OH&S standards. Manage stock – assist with ordering, stock rotation, stocktake etc. Manage the cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen equipment. Work with fellow Food & Beverage or Cook / Chef staff to ensure smooth operations. What you'll bring Experience in catering / kitchen / hospitality settings (e.g. experience in food preparation or Chef roles). Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (required). Current Police check (required, but we can complete for you). Two (2) COVID‑19 Vaccinations (required).
