The Opportunity: PW7 $92,375 - $101,744 per annum pro rata + 12% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience). Moorabbin/Glen Waverley Campus – onsite parking with close proximity to public transport. The Property Services Division (PSD) delivers essential maintenance and cleaning services across all Holmesglen campuses, ensuring facilities are safe, clean, and well‑maintained for students and staff. PSD responds promptly to maintenance needs, oversees routine cleaning, and manages the Institute’s Asset Management Plan, providing strategic oversight of long‑term building care, sustainability, and optimisation of infrastructure. The division plays a vital role in supporting Holmesglen’s operational and strategic objectives through effective asset and facilities management. Based at either the Moorabbin or Glen Waverley campus, the Maintenance Supervisor will lead a skilled team to prioritise and allocate maintenance tasks across campuses. You will action maintenance schedules, support essential services, and plan both scheduled and reactive maintenance and grounds activities. The role includes supervising staff and contractors across electrical, plumbing, building fabrication, mechanical, and gardening disciplines, ensuring buildings and services are fully functional, safe and efficient. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will: Provide high‑level service and support to stakeholders, responding to maintenance requests, faults and emergencies as part of a 24/7 on‑call roster. Oversee and allocate work to Maintenance Officers and contractors, fostering a positive and effective team environment. Support audits, reporting, budgeting and contract management, including preparing quotes, bids and stakeholder correspondence. Maintain and develop maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure buildings, equipment and grounds are well‑maintained and compliant with OHS requirements. Coordinate maintenance projects and site works, conduct regular asset audits, and manage garden and grounds services to ensure quality, safety and minimal disruption across campuses. To be successful, you’ll have: Extensive experience in maintenance and building operations, including interpreting technical drawings and managing multi‑trade maintenance activities. Strong planning, organisation and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and adapt to changing priorities. Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and contractors, ensuring safe, efficient and high‑quality delivery of maintenance projects. Broad technical knowledge of building systems, including mechanical and electrical services, OHS compliance, budgeting, and the use of asset management software. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and contribute positively to team and organisational outcomes. Post‑secondary or post‑trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, relevant studies in Leadership or Management, and a current valid driver’s licence. WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
