PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES The Digital Supply Chain Practice of SAP Australia & New Zealand is expanding by establishing a Supply Chain Management (SCM) Centre of Excellence (CoE) where we are extending our high‑performance teams’ capability and capacity. The CoE’s purpose is to guide major customers through their journey to SAP Business Suite with proven strategy, expert delivery and scalable lasting impact. The successful candidate will be working on both this high‑profile strategic and transformational initiative and the broader Customer Success and Delivery area within the DSC Practice. We are looking for a senior consultant with practical SAP Service and Asset Manager (SSAM) skills and in‑depth end‑to‑end process knowledge across SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) with focussed asset‑intensive industry experience such as mining, oil & gas, energy and in general utilities. EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS As an SCM EAM / SSAM senior consultant you will have an excellent understanding of SSAM and the overall SAP Business Suite related to SAP EAM, how they integrate and should be used in the asset‑intensive industry context. From an SCM CoE perspective you will help the customer to holistically understand their path from the old SCM world into the more advanced Business Suite world, including AI, mobility, automated scheduling and networks. You will work alongside the account teams in the software evaluation process to develop SAP‑centric solution scenarios and needed architecture, prepare implementation plans and define outcomes that lead to overall customer success. You will build actionable roadmaps, support the creation of business cases, PoC, give architecture advice and deliver implementation support where needed. You will act as the conduit between customer and product management / engineering to prioritise product roadmaps with customer needs, run / support industry‑specific round tables and events for SCM and particularly Asset Management. Under the overall DSC Practice mandate you will be involved in engagements to advise on design, implement and deploy our solutions with the aim to enhance the client’s business functionality and overall performance while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction. You will partner with the client and possibly with 3rd parties to analyse and define business requirements, technology, processes and objectives to scope project deliverables with the overall architecture in mind. In addition you will need to be able to work individually and as part of a high‑performance team locally and globally, having SAPs and customer success at heart. Your vast experience and in‑depth knowledge within the industry will make you the go‑to person to provide thoughtful leadership advice to our colleagues / partners on end‑to‑end solution design, implementation challenges or deployment options. Qualifications Skills and Competencies A proven 7 years professional experience working as a senior SSAM consultant. Has gained expert knowledge in SSAM and ideally covering at least 4 full implementation life cycles. Shows a proven project deliver experience with product and domain knowledge in SAP Service and Asset Manager and also understands the wider SAP Business Suite solution from an EAM perspective such as SAP Field Service Management, SAP Spatial Asset Management and SAP Asset Performance Management. Can conduct SSAM and S/4HANA EAM centric workshops with all contributing parties providing end‑to‑end Business Process Solution Design. Experience in setting up and configuring SSAM to integrate mobile devices. Experience with BTP development. Experience with mobile technologies. Background in computer software development fundamentals and technologies is desired. Has a good understanding and hands‑on integration experience across other processes and solutions such as PM, PS, MM, FI/CO. Understands the business drivers, challenges and outcomes of an asset management and plant maintenance solutions in the correlated aspects of the asset‑intensive industries. Strong analytical skills, result‑oriented and effectiveness in problem solving. Ease in presenting complex information to customers in a clear, well‑documented and trustworthy manner. Team player and ability to work successfully in culturally diverse environments. Strong networking and customer relationship management capabilities. Excellent communication skills with technical and business focus. Passionate about technology innovation and how digital platforms can solve business challenges. Experience with ML, IoT, SAP Joule and other AI tools is a plus. Basic knowledge of programming is a plus. Practical experience with process modelling tools Signavio, LeanIX, WalkMe is a plus.
