About the Opportunity We’re looking for a Network Support Officer to join our State‑wide Network Service (SNS) team We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised Network Support Officer to support the delivery of critical network services across NSW Health. This role is essential in ensuring our statewide network operations run smoothly, reliably, and efficiently. Reporting to the SNS Group Manager, as Network Support Officer you will provide coordination, administration, and operational support across a range of SNS functions. A key part of your responsibilities includes supporting HIRPN (Health Interior Radio Paging Network), a mission‑critical paging system used by seven Local Health Districts to send urgent clinical alerts to medical teams during emergencies. You will work closely with HIRPN Committee members and internal stakeholders to ensure the system’s reliability and high performance when it matters most. Responsibilities Manage and maintain SNS operational and support contracts, ensuring full lifecycle oversight, transparent financial tracking, and smooth procurement processes. Administer and update SNS SharePoint and Microsoft Teams sites, keeping documentation structured, accessible, and up to date. Coordinate and submit on‑call and overtime rosters, while supporting general administrative functions such as hardware inventory management and access provisioning. Support HIRPN operations, including acting as Committee Secretary, monitoring service performance, and ensuring SLA compliance for emergency paging services. Lead communication activities by preparing newsletters, reports, and updates for stakeholders and governance committees. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in providing high‑quality administrative support, ideally within NSW Health or a comparable large, multi‑site organisation. Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and perform effectively in high‑volume, fast‑paced environments. Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear stakeholder engagement, accurate documentation, and confident committee support. Sound understanding of financial and procurement processes, including expenditure approvals and tracking, preferably within government or public sector frameworks. A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset, with the initiative to anticipate needs, resolve issues, and adapt to changing priorities. Need more information?
