Senior Security Technician

Sapio currently has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Security Technician to join our NSW Electronic Security Team with a position opening up in our West Ryde Branch, commencing from January 2026. The Senior Security Technician will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of service delivery to our current clients across our Government, Commercial, Education, Infrastructure verticals. The Senior Technician will also need to ensure all work is done to the highest standard and completed in line with the contractual obligations to our clients. Service & Installation works We need you to bring your service experience to a dynamic and expanding company. What you will be doing Staging, Installation, commissioning programming and troubleshooting working in all aspects of Electronic Security and Integration. Specific Accountabilities – Senior Security Technician Technical Leadership & Expertise Provide advanced technical support in the installation, commissioning, programming, and maintenance of electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, alarm and integrated platforms. Act as the escalation point for complex troubleshooting and ensure compliance with industry standards, legislation, and client requirements. Project Delivery & Quality Assurance Lead and oversee site works to ensure security projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards. Undertake system testing, verification, and client handover while ensuring accurate documentation and as-built records are maintained. Client & Stakeholder Engagement Represent Sapio professionally on client sites, providing technical advice, clear communication, and practical solutions. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and scheduling to ensure seamless delivery of security solutions that meet operational and client needs. Mentoring & Team Development Support and mentor junior technicians and apprentices, providing on-the-job training, guidance, and technical direction. Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement within the field team. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Strong technical knowledge of IP networking, access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems. Experience Minimum 8 years’ industry experience in electronic security systems. Proven track record working with large-scale, complex security installations.
