Systems / Senior Systems Engineers

As part of the collaborative Capability Delivery & Sustainment (CD&S) engineering team, deliver high quality and high reliability integrated communications system solutions within a Systems Engineering framework to meet project requirements. The role can cover various aspects of the Systems Engineering lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, production, integration, verification and validation and sustainment. Responsibilities Solicit, define, capture, and manage requirements. Develop and design communication systems in line with specifications and all quality and technical standards. Develop, document and review engineering design artefacts (including design documents, drawings, plans, user manuals and training materials). Integrate, set to work, and test communications and voice switching systems. Install, deliver, and commission communication systems. Verify and validate communication systems to project requirements and specifications. Provide in-service support of previously delivered systems. Additional Duties for Senior Engineers Participate in tender support activities. Provide technical leadership and guidance as required to peers and engineering team members for assigned relevant domain, product, or area of competence. What you'll bring Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferably in Electrical/Electronics/Communications. Experience in Systems Engineering, Communications Systems Engineering or similar role. Knowledge and practical experience in system engineering preferably in communications, aviation/aerospace or maritime/naval environment. Knowledge and practical experience of products in radio communications and voice switching systems. Knowledge and practical experience of engineering processes and tools. An understanding of IP networks and protocols. Structured approach to projects. Advanced communications skills and including the ability to negotiate required outcomes to meet project objectives.
