About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our friendly team at our Head Office in Smithfield, NSW . In this full-time position, you will manage the full accounts payable and receivable functions, maintain accurate financial records, and support month-end close and reporting processes. You will also work closely with our external accountants to ensure compliance and accuracy across both our Australian and New Zealand entities. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated professional with strong bookkeeping experience, excellent attention to detail, and a solid understanding of Xero accounting software. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable (AP) Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies Manage purchase orders, expense claims, and payment runs Maintain supplier records and ensure policy compliance Accounts Receivable (AR) Generate and send customer statements via Xero Monitor accounts receivable ledgers and follow up on overdue accounts Apply customer payments and reconcile accounts Respond to customer billing and payment queries Perform daily bank reconciliations across multiple accounts and currencies Reconcile intercompany transactions between Australian and New Zealand entities Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial data in Xero Assist with GST/BAS preparation and submissions Month-End & Reporting Prepare and post journal entries and accruals Reconcile balance sheet accounts and close ledgers accurately Assist in preparing month-end financial reports and supporting documentation Liaise with external accountants for monthly and annual reporting Perform ad hoc duties as required by the Managing Director and General Manager About Our Team Our office team is small but dynamic, fostering a positive and relaxed environment with a strong team focus.
