Electrical Trades Assistant

Workfast is seeking Electrical Trades Assistants to join our client on a Defence project at Tindal RAAF Air Base, NT . This role will see you supporting qualified electricians with installation of runway lighting and cabling systems, while gaining valuable exposure on a secure and high‑profile site. Mobilisation will take approximately 1 week and the project will run until 19th December. What You Get $55.00 per hour flat rate 21 days on / 7 days off roster (8‑10 hour days) Accommodation and meals provided on site Drive/Bus in + Drive/Bus out from Darwin or surrounding areas Work with a major client with future projects available What You Need Australian Driver's Licence White Card Bobcat ticket highly desirable Previous experience as an Electrical Trades Assistant Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency (essential for Defence site access) National Police Clearance within the last 3 months (or ability to apply immediately) DCAC Security Card (Ideal if you already have one) Ability to pass medical & drug and alcohol test What You'll Be Doing Assisting electricians with runway lighting installation and cabling works Handling tools, equipment, and materials to support trade tasks Operating safely with power and hand tools under supervision Using a bobcat for site works (if ticketed) Helping maintain a clean and safe worksite in line with Defence standards Working as part of a team to deliver project milestones About Us Workfast is a labour‑hire company working with some of Australia's largest companies.
