Associate Recruitment Consultant | Energy Markets | Policy & Regulation | Energy Strategy | Commercial Due Diligence | Project Controls |… We are seeking an Energy Market Analysis Consultant based in Sydney to support advisory engagements across electricity markets. This role focuses on developing quantitative analysis, interpreting market and policy impacts, and translating modelling outputs into clear insights to support client decision-making across the energy transition. The role sits between specialist modelling teams and senior decision-makers, working closely with consultants, economists, and market modellers to deliver high-quality advisory outcomes for government, investors, utilities, and energy market participants. Responsibilities Support advisory engagements across electricity and gas markets, including the NEM and WEM Develop quantitative and economic analysis to inform strategic, regulatory, and investment decisions Work closely with modelling teams to structure economic problems and interpret model outputs Analyse market behaviour, policy developments, and regulatory impacts on prices, assets, and investment outcomes Contribute to client deliverables by synthesising complex analysis into clear insights and recommendations Engage with clients to understand requirements and support ongoing advisory relationships Assist with the development of internal capabilities, tools, and advisory products Required Experience Experience or exposure to electricity and/or gas markets, ideally within a consulting or advisory environment Strong quantitative and analytical capability, with the ability to interpret complex data and modelling outputs Understanding of how policy, regulation, and market dynamics influence energy market outcomes Experience supporting client-facing work, including analysis, presentations, and recommendations Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders Qualifications Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field Skills in data analysis and tools such as Excel, Python, SQL, or similar (desirable but not essential) Seniority level Associate Employment type Full-time Job function Consulting Industries Services for Renewable Energy, Energy Technology, and Business Consulting and Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
