Your privacy subject matter expertise will be relied upon as you will contribute to enhancing our privacy risk management within the Group. You will achieve this through supporting the implementation and governance of our organisation-wide privacy risk management frameworks, including compliance with global privacy regulations and the Privacy Safeguards of the Consumer Data Rights scheme. As a member of the Group Privacy Office you’ll be working closely with the Compliance teams supporting Business Units across the Group as well as the Group and business aligned operational risk teams. In any given week you will Assist with the maintenance of the CBA Group Privacy risk management framework, including the Consumer Data Rights privacy regime. Advise on the translation of privacy obligations, including CDR Privacy Safeguards and Credit Reporting Information, into business requirements. Provide guidance and compliance advice to the Group and Business Units. Support, improve and maintain privacy governance across the Group. Support and drive collaboration between Group Compliance and the Business Units for privacy related activities and initiatives to increase privacy capability. Support on privacy incidents and the assessment of whether the regulator and impacted individual/s needs to be notified of a data breach. Assist with monitoring of compliance and the development of privacy metrics for reporting. Provide guidance to Business Units to shape privacy management plans and ensure consistency across the Group. We're Interested In Hearing From People Who Have Experience in advising on the Consumer Data Rights Privacy Safeguards. Demonstrated proven track record dealing with privacy issues for financial services firms and the Consumer Data Rights regime. Industry experience, preferably with a background in Compliance, Legal, Risk or Controls gained in an international financial institution, regulatory authority or professional services firm. Very strong influencing skills and ability to manage through influence in a matrixed organisation. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to make sound judgments under tight deadlines. Deep understanding of relevant privacy laws and regulations and applicability to various business lines. In-depth understanding of how policies and frameworks work with controls to effectively manage compliance risk. Experience engaging with regulators. Most importantly we are looking for someone with a successful track record of delivering required business outcomes and has sound relationship-building and demonstrable negotiating/influencing skills.
