Senior Controls Engineer

Key responsibilities of the position include: - Development of functional specifications - Conformance to OHS&E standards in the design and execution of all work - Preparation of electrical schematic drawings, PLC programs and configuration of operator interfaces - Preparation of manufacturing and installation specifications - Planning and supervision of major controls installations - Managing the procurement of parts, the manufacture of cabinets and the electrical installation - Controls project cost control - Testing and commissioning on customer sites - Preparation of test plans and operator & technical manuals - Training of client personnel and providing customer support - Handing over projects to our Customer Service team
What we offer:
Key skills, qualifications and attributes include:Degree qualified in an Engineering or scientific disciplineIdeal role for those with 7+ years experience in electrical design and installationSound knowledge of requirements of AS3000 & AS4024.1Experience in machine control, safety and functional safety principlesKnowledge of materials handling system controlsExperience in writing of technical documentationKnowledge of configuration, programming and commissioning of PLCs (Siemens S7 preferred), variable speed drives, barcode scanners and safety devicesExperience in managing installation crewsWillingness to travel during the installation and commissioning phase of a project within Australia and occasionally overseasAbility to work in project based environment as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering teamOur ideal candidate will have a professional manner and display a dedication to providing a high quality output as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure in business-critical environments.An attractive salary package is on offer to the right candidate, as well as outstanding career opportunities.How To ApplyIf you would like to apply for the above position, please click on the '
