SAP Functional Manager

Overview Purpose and Scope The SAP Functional Manager is tasked with ensuring the optimal performance and effective utilization of SAP systems within the organization. This role involves oversight of SAP-related projects, continuous system improvements, and the integration of advanced SAP functionalities to support business objectives. The SAP Functional Manager works as part of a dynamic team to drive efficiency in operations, streamline processes through SAP solutions, and support end-users in maximizing the value derived from SAP systems. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Extensive experience with SAP modules and SAP configuration. Proven track record in SAP project management and implementation. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Proficiency in SAP ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite. CERTIFICATIONS: SAP certification(s) preferred. Certifications and Licenses Relevant SAP certifications are highly desirable. Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is considered advantageous. Experience and Skills Minimum 5 years of experience with SAP systems in a functional role. Demonstrated experience in managing SAP projects from conception to delivery. Expertise in at least one SAP module (e.g., MM, SD, PP, FI/CO). Familiarity with SAP best practices and methodologies. Work Environment and Demands The role requires working in an office environment with occasional travel to client sites for project meetings and implementations. Flexibility to work non‑standard hours to meet project deadlines and business needs. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Security Clearance Requirement Applicants must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required by the role. This may involve background checks and vetting processes.
