4 hours ago Be among the first 25 applicants Obstetric Consultant/Subspecialist in Maternal Fetal Medicine Location: Sunshine Hospital Employment Type: Part-Time (24 hours/week), Fixed Term (until December 2026) Salary: HN16-59 (commensurate with experience) + Superannuation + Salary Packaging About The Role: An exciting opportunity exists for an appropriately skilled Maternal Fetal Medicine Subspecialist or Obstetrician with a special Interest in MFM, to join the dynamic multidisciplinary Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit at Joan Kirner Women’s & Children’s at Sunshine Hospital on a fixed term contract to cover Sabbatical and Long Service leave. The MFM Obstetrician will provide high risk pregnancy care for women with complex pregnancies including those with maternal medical disorders, pregnancy specific disorders or fetal complications including management of fetal anomalies and fetal growth restriction. The Western Health Maternal Fetal Medicine service also provides tertiary level consultation for patients with pregnancy disorders within our catchment area, including referrals from PIPER. The JKWC Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit actively participates in a range of national and international multicentred trials and has ample research opportunities to support the career of a consultant within MFM. The vision of the Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit at Western Health is: To develop a globally, innovative and holistic MFM service to support the people of the broader Western Health community. To provide excellence in multidisciplinary training in all aspects of complex pregnancy care and to be recognised as a preferred training provider. To foster international research collaborations to improve the health and wellbeing of families. About You: Current or eligible for registration with AHPRA as a Medical Specialist Hold Fellowship with RANZCOG or equivalent Specialist qualification Hold a subspecialist qualification in Maternal Fetal Medicine as recognised by RANZCOG or have experience working In a tertiary MFM unit In Australia for at least 6 months during the past 3 years.
