The Kitchen Hand position will assist with the daily food preparation and cooking in the fish and chip shop, ensuring efficient service, quality food production, and a positive customer experience. Additionally, the Kitchen Hand will assist with stock management, store cleanliness and ensuring health and safety standards are met. Responsibilities Operate the deep fryer to cook fish, chips, and other menu items to proper quality standards, ensuring consistent portion sizes and presentation. Plans and prepares food based on the menu specifications to ensure consistent quality product for our customers. Observes proper use of all cooking and preparation equipment so as to not cause harm to themselves or their co-workers. Perform food preparation when necessary, such as chopping, slicing, dicing, mixing, etc. Ensures food products are being delivered according to menu specifications, utilising recipes and paying close attention to presentation guidelines. Receives food and supply order, ensuring that products received are in good condition. Maintains the sanitation and organisation of cooking and serving area.
