If you're ready to be part of something new and meaningful — we’d love to hear from you. What you'll be doing? Operate the espresso machine to prepare a variety of coffee and drinks menu. Prior experience operating commercial espresso machines is highly valued — support and training from our coffee equipment partners can be arranged for the right candidate. Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and restocking as needed. Provide a warm and professional customer experience, confidently managing orders and inquiries while maintaining a positive and approachable presence on the floor. Keep your station clean, tidy, and compliant with all hygiene and safety standards. Collaborative nature and willingness to support the broader cafe team as needed. Relevant experience: Proven experience as a barista/all rounder (minimum 2-3 years in a busy cafe). Coffee expertise: Proficient in operating espresso machines and preparing a wide range of coffee drinks. Customer service focus: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for providing outstanding customer service. Attention to detail: Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work weekends, public holidays and dinner shifts if needed. Ideally looking for 1-2 days a week and Saturday shifts. Barista – Deepdene Cafe Deepdene Cafe is currently looking for a full-time experienced Barista to join our team on a full-time basis at least 38 hours per week. Duties and Responsibilities Preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies and hot chocolates. Preparing and serving desserts in our Cafe. Taking food and beverage orders from customers and delivering them in a timely and courteous manner. Maintaining a clean and well-stocked Café and dining area. Providing friendly and attentive customer service to ensure a positive dining experience. Following all health, safety and hygiene protocols. Requirements At least 1 year of experience. A can-do attitude and ability to work independently. Well-presented with a strong desire to maintain high standards.
