Overview Senior Technical Architect - Comms/E&U at Salesforce Salesforce is seeking a Senior Technical Architect with strong experience in communications, energy & utilities, and telecommunications to join our Professional Services team. This role focuses on delivering strategic engagements, defining transformational opportunities, and articulating clear plans for change programs that maximize the value of the Salesforce platform. Role Description Our team collaborates with customers and partners during the project lifecycle, sharing extensive knowledge of the Salesforce.com platform and product suite, plus industry-specific products. The Senior Technical Architect paints a solution vision, architects the system, and provides guidance during implementation. Depending on seniority, they may build solutions (configuration and coding) and/or lead diverse delivery teams. Senior Technical Architects are effective at interacting across technical and business resources from developers to executives and act as trusted advisors. They support software delivery cycles based on agile methodologies and align with project management activities. Your Impact Through our onboarding program, certifications, internal training, and close collaboration with other technical teams, you will contribute to Salesforce Industries’ architecture offerings and deliver outstanding customer success. What You’ll Do Ensure scalable and standard methodology solutions to meet and exceed customer needs Guide the evaluation of business and technical requirements Build relationships with key collaborators and team members Act as lead architect for the overall engagement by coordinating and aligning work of multiple architects Align with project and engagement managers to support planning and implementation in close collaboration with the customer Review and guide project vision and direction, implementation approach and key artefacts Direct early solution evaluation, including proactive management of issues and engagement with executives, the account team, engineering, and product management Where required, hands-on application configuration to meet customer needs Direct and mentor diverse teams, including customers, partners, and colleagues in technical delivery and communication strategies Contribute to internal initiatives, such as innovations and skill development Where required, support pre-sales activities to position Salesforce Services Contribute to broader goals by engaging in volunteering activities Basic Requirements Hands-on technical consulting and solution implementation experience for a major software domain (e.g., CRM, ERP, HR) and coding experience in object-oriented languages Deep functional and business knowledge of Energy & Utilities and Telecommunications, including business capabilities, customer journeys and operations, preferably in the Australian and New Zealand markets Ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration Experience in guiding customers and project members in deploying emerging technology for business use cases Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team, with willingness to take ownership Rapidly learn new technologies and possess strong presentation, communication and facilitation skills Degree or equivalent relevant experience; experience will be evaluated based on core competencies Willingness to travel regionally and occasionally internationally depending on customer needs Preferred Requirements Experience with industry-related technologies such as Omnistudio, EPC, CPQ, OM, and Energy & Utilities Billing Platforms Understanding of Web Services, Data Modeling, and Enterprise application integration concepts, with experience using integration tools and patterns Ability to establish and maintain relationships with C-level and other decision-makers Experience delivering enterprise applications on the Salesforce Platform including coded solutions and integrations with third-party solutions Accommodations If you require assistance due to a disability applying for open positions, please submit a request via the Accommodations Request Form.
