Head of Technology & Data Search - APAC EC1 Partners is partnering with a well‑established trading and market infrastructure business in Sydney that is expanding its engineering team. They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys building scalable back‑end systems, working across modern cloud environments, and contributing to a team that ships real products used every day by FinTech clients. What you’ll work on: Redevelop core market data and trading APIs Enhance and maintain back‑end services used by external clients Contribute to new product initiatives including a potential crypto trading API Drive consistency as the business consolidates technologies across teams Support white‑labelled front‑end solutions used by clients without in‑house tech capability Strong experience with .NET and C# Solid understanding of cloud environments, ideally AWS or Azure Back‑end focused engineering with some exposure to front‑end frameworks React or Next.js preferred but open to other modern frameworks Knowledge of trading or financial markets helpful but not required The team: You’ll join a collaborative engineering group split across platform development and back‑end APIs. The engineering culture values clean code, good architecture, and people who take ownership. They are pragmatic in their approach and open to hiring strong engineers from outside trading who can pick up domain knowledge quickly.
