VIC, BK Gymnastics - Hawthorn East 3123 Be part of something new and exciting Great workplace flexibility and incentives Intermediate or higher qualified coaches Opportunity to make a real difference to our community This is a great opportunity for passionate and friendly coaches who enjoy working with children and building skills in gymnastics and life The Role Reporting to the Gymnastics Coordinator, the Gymnastics Coach will develop programs and instruct a variety of levels in gymnastic classes in a safe, positive, and fun environment for participants. You will encourage children to engage in a positive fun environment that encourages inclusion whilst always maintaining a duty of care for the children participating in the classes. You will also have excellent verbal communication skills as you will provide parents/guardians with positive and practical feedback. Intermediate or Advanced Gymnastics Accreditation is preferred. Training will be provided for Intermediate coaches to gain additional accreditation/s. You will be required to coach both Recreational (beginner to advanced) and Competitive classes with levels dependent on accreditation. Start immediately, currently shifts available; Mon-Fri: 9am-1pm & 4pm-8pm, Sat: 8am-1pm, Sun: As Required. Skills & Attributes: You must love working with kids and making a positive impact on their lives Energetic people skills Enthusiasm and a passion for developing others Friendly and open communicator A results-focused team player An understanding of the value of physical literacy and the need to be active through gymnastics activities Intermediate/Advanced or equivalent - Gymnastics Coach Accreditation Current First Aid (Desirable) Current CPR (Desirable) Working with Children Check A willingness to undertake a Police Check clearance upon on-boarding The Company BK facilities and programs will be tailored to the needs of the communities in which they are located and will include gymnastics facilities for ‘Learn to Move’ programs and swim centres for ‘Learn to Swim’ programs. They will focus particularly on programs for children aged between 1 and 15+ years old (and beyond) but can be expanded to encompass a wide range of other activities, depending on the specific community needs. The Gymnastics programs will provide the foundation of this physical literacy, with a customized facility model and authentic gymnastics programs including Little Stars - Educational Gymnastics, Gym Fundamentals, Club Gym (Levels Program), and All Star Academy Competitive - Artistic Gymnastics.
