Your New Role The role of the School Chaplain/Student Wellbeing Officer is to: Provide support for the holistic wellbeing of students Help to foster positive key interpersonal relationships within the school (inc. student-staff, student-student, and home-staff) Liaise with community service organisations when required Create opportunities for the social and emotional development of students. Enhance student engagement with the parish and broader community. Support pastoral care initiatives as requested. View Position Description Here. Demonstrate Christian values when engaging with children, parents, staff and the general public. Demonstrate the ability to perform the role as outlined by the National School Wellbeing Program. Have an understanding of childhood development and the issues pertinent to children/young people. Have the confidence, ability and experience to communicate and work with children/young people. Implement a student focused approach when working with key stakeholders. Demonstrate the ability to work consistently and positively within a team. Ensure that timely records are maintained on the service provided to the school Current NSW Working With Children Check Successful Candidate to Undergo a National Criminal History Check Accreditation for Support Staff in a Catholic School (Category A, Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools, Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga) or willing to achieve.
