ROSTER: 8:6 Day Shift Only – 11.25hrs (Residential or FIFO from Perth ) PACKAGE: Salary + Performance Bonus + Residential Allowance + Site Allowance + Family Private Health Insurance or Allowance + Death and TPD Coverage or Allowance + Mental Health Programs + Gym Membership Discount + Other Benefits ABOUT THE ROLE Norton Gold Fields is seeking a highly skilled Underground Technical Superintendent to lead our Tuart underground operations. This senior role oversees planning, coordination, scheduling, and control of underground activities while ensuring safety, operational efficiency, and budget compliance. You will contribute to medium- and long-term mine planning, process optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Lead and manage all underground operations to achieve production and budget targets safely. Promote a positive safety culture through visible leadership, site inspections, and Safe Act Observations (SAOs). Assume statutory responsibilities when the Underground Manager and Alternate Manager are off-site. Conduct financial accruals, reporting, budgeting, and cost estimations. Review and optimise operational safety, production, and cost performance. Identify and implement business improvement initiatives and long-term operational enhancements. Mentor and develop junior and graduate mining engineers, supporting succession planning. Uphold Norton Gold Fields’ core values through leadership by example. ABOUT YOU Bachelor of Mining Engineering degree. 5–10 years of underground mining operational and technical experience. At least 2 years of mine planning experience. Knowledge of mine geology, geotechnical principles, and development & production practices. Familiarity with WA Mining Safety & Inspection Act and Regulations. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. WA C/HR Driver’s Licence, First Aid Certificate, Dangerous Goods Security Card. Proficient in Deswik mining software, MS Excel, Word, and presentation tools. BENEFITS Permanent full-time role with an immediate start. Excellent remuneration package with additional allowances. Receive a $12k residential allowance per annum, if you are residential and not FIFO. Receive up to $5k site allowance per annum, depending on your site location. Receive up to 15% short-term incentive payment (STIP) of your base salary. A fully covered family private health insurance through GU Health Complete Gold Cover or allowance up to $5k. A fully covered Death and Total & Permanent Disability (TPD) insurance or allowance up to $2.4k. Pro-rata long service leave (LSL) after just 5 years of service and be entitled to 13 weeks paid LSL after 10 years of service. Work with a team that prioritises safety.
