To drive the growth of Sunshine Smallgoods' Italian food product portfolio by building strong, long‑term relationships with food service businesses, specifically focusing on pizzerias, restaurants, and independent venues in the Greater Brisbane Area. This role requires a genuine passion for Italian cuisine and culture, using expert knowledge to identify customer needs, secure new business, and deliver tailored product solutions to maximise customer satisfaction and revenue growth. Sales Growth & Territory Management Manage a geographical territory (Brisbane & Brisbane North) to deliver the annual budget of both sales revenue & gross margin Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers in the food service sector Identify sales opportunities, upsell Italian product lines, and secure long‑term supply agreements Build new business through existing and new customers and/or routes to market aligned to SSG business strategy Regularly visit customers to provide personalised service and enhance engagement Product Expertise & Customer Consulting Serve as the expert on Italian food products, educating customers about their uses, benefits, and authenticity Provide menu and product consultation to support customers in enhancing their offering Offer tastings and product demonstrations to showcase quality and application Train, encourage and motivate venue‑level staff at all levels so that they support and drive sales of our portfolio Commercial & Operational Excellence Meet and exceed monthly sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) Lead the development & implementation of new customer quotes that adhere to the company's pricing policy and secure new business Ensure all customers' credit limits are managed with agreed terms and all outstanding accounts receivable are paid in a timely manner Ensure accurate and timely processing of orders, invoices, and customer communication Collaborate with logistics to guarantee smooth product delivery and stock management Market Insights Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new opportunities Gather customer feedback to inform product development and improve service delivery Work with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns tailored to Italian cuisine Key Skills Sales & Negotiation – Proven ability to close sales and manage accounts Italian Food & Culture – Passion for Italian food, with a deep understanding of authentic products and their culinary applications. Familiarity with food service operations, especially within pizzerias and restaurants Customer Focus – A proactive approach to understanding and meeting customer needs. Confident relationship builder who focuses on customer needs and satisfaction Commercial Thinking – Identifies business opportunities for the organisation. Demonstrates financial awareness and controls costs. Keeps up to date with competitor information and market trends Problem Solving – Ability to handle objections, troubleshoot customer concerns, and find innovative solutions.
