Team Leader (Nurse Unit Manager Level 2, Occupational Therapist/ Social Worker Level 5, Clinical Psychologist) - Assertive Outreach Team Employment Type : Temporary Full Time (38 hours per week) – up to 12 months Position Classification : Nurse Unit Manager Level 2 / Occupational Therapist / Social Worker Level 5 / Clinical Psychologist Location : Canterbury Hospital Requisition ID : REQ Applications Close : 15 December 2025 About The Role Community Mental Health Services provide a range of services designed to support recovery and help consumers stay well in the community. The team offers specialist services for young people, children, families, adults and older people, including a specialist Aboriginal Mental Health Team, bilingual mental health workers and Peer Support Workers. The Assertive Outreach Teams deliver tertiary‑level coordinated care to consumers diagnosed with severe and enduring mental illness who require an enhanced level of support to sustain living in the community. This role will be based at Canterbury Hospital and will involve managing and coordinating integrated, multi‑disciplinary recovery‑oriented mental health services, developing processes across Community Mental Health Services and external partners to ensure collaboration, connectivity and appropriate consumer support. Ideal Candidate Recognised qualification in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or Clinical Psychology and current registration with AHPRA or eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers. Extensive mental‑health clinical experience and health‑service management, including advanced practice and supervision skills, service planning, implementation and evaluation. Demonstrated leadership with evidence‑based planning and service evaluation relevant to the assertive outreach model and change‑management skills. Understanding of and commitment to recovery‑oriented services and consumer involvement in service design, implementation and evaluation. The preferred applicant will need to hold a current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable). Benefits and Perks Monthly accrued day off, paid parental leave and annual leave loading.
