Experienced Electronics/Electrical Engineer now Associate Director for Engineering, Technology Recruitment Sydney – Immediate Start We’re seeking an experienced Firmware Engineer to support the rapid development of a next-generation IoT device. This is a hands‑on contract role, ideal for someone who can hit the ground running in a fast‑paced hardware environment. Role Overview You will take accountability for embedded firmware development on STM32 and/or Nordic chipsets, working closely with the hardware, product and test teams. The focus is on low‑level development, device bring‑up, comms stack integration and performance optimisation. Key Responsibilities Design, implement and debug embedded firmware in C/C++ Develop features on STM32 and Nordic (nRF series) platforms Bare-metal control, RTOS or lightweight Linux environments as required Hardware bring‑up, driver development and peripheral interfacing Optimise for memory, power, timing and reliability Work with BLE, low‑power wireless and IoT protocols Contribute to testing, validation, and rapid iterations on prototypes Required Experience Strong background in embedded C/C++ Hands‑on experience with STM32 or Nordic SoCs Bare-metal or RTOS development for microcontrollers Hardware–software integration, debugging tools (JTAG/SWD) Experience with BLE or connected IoT devices Ability to work autonomously and deliver outcomes quickly Nice to Have Embedded Linux exposure Experience in productionising prototypes Familiarity with Python for test automation Please reach out to #J-18808-Ljbffr
