About Your Opportunity Reporting to our Dam Operations Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations, surveillance, and inspections of dam-related infrastructure, ensuring safe and efficient functioning in line with all regulatory requirements. You will also manage tasks related to water release and distribution from these assets, including operation and monitoring during flood events and other emergencies. Key Responsibilities Operate water distribution, release, irrigation and treatment activities to meet the required water delivery needs. Carry out surveillance and inspection of dam-related infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operation and to meet regulatory requirements. Conduct and monitor preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance and renewals work to the required standard in liaison with Seqwater maintenance teams. Operate dam-related infrastructure such as valves, hydro generation equipment, water treatment systems, and pump stations. Hours and Locations This role is rostered to include weekends, public holidays and some on-call work (shift allowances apply). It will be based at Wivenhoe Dam, with the possibility of moving between sites when required. About You To be successful in this role you should have the following: Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or deemed equivalent experience (mandatory) C Class Driver’s Licence for vehicle (mandatory) Experience in operation and maintenance of small plant and equipment Experience in operating water-related infrastructure Compensation & Benefits Salary range of $74,596.49 to $94,829.13 depending on experience plus 12.75% superannuation, with applicable penalty rates paid in addition. The role is permanent full-time, and relocation assistance may be available. Appointment is subject to a national police check and may be subject to other medical/character requirements.
