Clinical Midwife

The Nursing Services at the Sarina Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Midwife (Community Health) to join their team on a temporary basis. Your opportunity The Clinical Midwife provides midwifery services within the health service settings; and is responsible for a portfolio with a focus on clinical care/leadership, management, education and/or research. The activities are predominantly clinical in nature but also provide support to a Nurse Grade 7 or above in management activities. The Clinical Midwife provides advanced level clinical skills to ensure patient‑focused evidence‑based nursing/midwifery care, plans and coordinates the clinical management of patient/client care and provides leadership and support to other nursing/ midwifery staff. About the Team The new Sarina Hospital opened in early‑2024 and has a 19‑bed inpatient ward with outpatient services and an emergency department. Inpatients are a combination of rehabilitation, slow stream rehabilitation, maintenance, palliative, voluntary alcohol detox and acute & sub‑acute patients. Sarina Hospital is now a digital facility with the implementation of ieMR a part of the hospital redevelopment.
