The Company AgriFutures is a statutory rural Research and Development Corporation (RDC), responsible for funding Research and Development (R&D) and related extension activity, on behalf of primary producers. They deliver programs for established and emerging industries and also deliver programs that address key challenges and important issues currently facing and on the horizon for Australian agriculture including evokeAG and growAG. Placing people at the centre of everything they do, they listen, connect and collaborate domestically and globally with emerging leaders in agriculture, industry bodies, other RDC’s and government. The Position Within the Levied and Emerging Industries team there is now a vacancy, Manager - Emerging Industries . Reporting to and working closely with the Senior Manager – Emerging Industries you will have responsibility to initiate, develop and manage programs to help establish emerging industries. This involves partnering to support the industry’s growth, impact and benefit - managing the whole project life cycle across a wide variety of topical and interesting new industries. You will also be involved in broader investments that cover rural issues that are relevant to more than one industry. You will be conducting due diligence for RDE investment, administering research programs / projects, and designing & delivering extension of project outcomes. The Person To be successful in this manager role you will have : project or program management experience - managing milestones, outcome driven, compliance, planned and high attention to detail strong relationship, stakeholder management and communication skills a comfort working in a structured environment, but dealing with new industries who are entrepreneurial, passionate and who are facing challenges to grow their products an affinity with agriculture and or ideally some knowledge of RDE relevant tertiary education This is a diverse and fluid role, working in a small team managing a portfolio of work, utilising your project skills to impact growth and benefits to these emerging agriculture industries. Resilient by nature, you will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple competing priorities and working closely with people and industry stakeholders.
